The ORRA Board of Directors is now accepting applications for 2018 elected leadership positions, including:

Potential candidates must submit a consent-to-serve form, which is available here on the ORRA website. (Note: Completed consent-to-serve forms of qualified candidates are made available for public viewing on the ORRA website.)
Forms must be returned on or before 5:00 pm on July 1, 2017 for review by the ORRA Qualifications Committee. The committee will conduct personal interviews of each candidate who meets qualification requirements. Interviews will be held on July 19th, 2017.
The leadership election will be held electronically via the ORRA website on September 25 - 29 (ending at 5:00 pm on the 29th).

Officer responsibilities and qualifications
The president-elect serves for one year and then automatically ascends to president the following year. The primary duties as president-elect include serving as a member of the ORRA Executive Committee; attending all Florida REALTORS® director meetings; and performing the duties of president in his or her absence.
The treasurer serves for one year and serves as chairman of the ORRA Budget and Finance Committee. The treasurer is primarily responsible for preparing the association’s budget for the ensuing fiscal year and providing financial reports to members and the ORRA Board of Directors at its regular meetings.
The secretary serves for one year and is primarily responsible for ensuring that the strategic plan for ORRA is progressing as written.
Candidates for president-elect, treasurer, and secretary positions must be a REALTOR® in good standing. President-elect candidates must have served at least three of the previous five years as an ORRA director; treasurer, and secretary candidates must have served as least two consecutive years as an ORRA director. Candidates for these officer positions must also be an active Florida REALTORS® director, have had no FREC violations within the preceding five years, and have served on the ORRA Budget and Finance Committee or on the ORRA Strategic Planning Committee.
No officer or director serving in the association shall be an officer or director of another association of Florida REALTORS®, and any officer currently serving in the association who shall be elected and chooses to hold office in another association of Florida REALTORS®, upon installation to such other office, automatically shall cease to be an officer in this association and such vacancy shall be filled in accordance with the provisions of Article XI, Section 9 of the ORRA Bylaws.
Director responsibilities and qualifications
Directors serve for a three-year term. Directors are responsible for participating in ORRA Board of Directors meetings as representatives of the membership to review, revise, and establish policy for the mutual benefit of ORRA members. Additional duties include determining goals for the association, approving membership applicants, and serving as a Florida REALTORS® director, if appointed. Directors are highly involved in ORRA’s budget process and provide significant input into the activities of various committees. Directors are required to attend board meetings, relevant committee meetings, and special events and functions.
Directors must be ORRA REALTOR® members in good standing. In addition, directors must have completed a leadership training course offered by ORRA or its equivalent and be a member of the ORRA Honor Society by the end of their first year on the ORRA Board of Directors.
All directors must have served on an ORRA committee(s), task force, or forum for a cumulative amount of time of not less than two years.
No officer or director serving in the association shall be an officer or director of another association of Florida REALTORS®, and any director currently serving in the association who shall be elected and chooses to hold office in another association of Florida REALTORS®, upon installation to such other office, automatically shall cease to be a director in this association and such vacancy shall be filled in accordance with the provisions of Article XI, Section 9 of the ORRA Bylaws.
